Welcome Swimmers
Welcome to the Davis Aquatic Masters (DAM), a Davis, California swim club that is one of the largest U.S. Masters Swim affiliates in the nation. DAM boasts a membership of some 500 people from all ages and walks of life. DAM members range in experience from beginning swimmers to world champions. Member ages range from the minimum of 18 to those in their 90s. We always welcome new swimmers to the club. Hour Swim Grand Total
326 Swim 1,127,975 Yards
Congratulations hour swimmers. During the month of January, 326 DAM members swam 1,127,975 total yards in the USMS Speedo One Hour Postal National Championship. That's not as many total yards as last year, but more than the year before. DAM is once again trying to win the national title for the team with the most total yards tallied in the annual event. In the championship, DAM members swim as far as they can in an hour. The swim team with the highest total number of yards in the champ.
The sponsoring team -- Blue Wave Aquatics in Seattle -- will now tally the totals from all the participants and crown the national champion. That process can take several months. Here is a comparison to efforts from previous years:

Annual Food Drive
There is still time to make a donation to the Food Bank of Yolo County. DAM is collecting food for the needy all during the month of January. Drop off the cans and boxes of food at the table at the Civic Center Pool.
