DAM Update (7-15-2019): New Records Set at LC Champs
The first of four days at the Pacific Masters long course Championships was contested yesterday and 11 DAM swimmers took the plunge. Cecily Sprouse (63), Sally Guthrie (69) and Stuart Kahn (66) all picked off a number of DAM long course records in their individual races. Including splits, they combined for a total of seven new standards; Cecily - 800 and 1500, Sally - 400, 800, 1500 and Stu - 800 and 1500. See results here.
The next three sessions of the Championships, hosted by Walnut Creek Masters in Moraga, resume this Friday at Campolindo HS.
The 2019 Pacific Masters Long Course Swimming Championships will be hosted by Walnut Creek Masters at Campolindo HS in Moraga.
This summer, the meet will be held on split weekends with the the 1500 freestyle on Sunday, June 14 and all of the other events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 19-21. The deadline for online entries is Wednesday, July 10, 11:59 p.m. Here are links to online registration and meet information.
Due to calendar conflicts with the Woodland long course pool and USMS nationals in Mission Viejo, DAM will not be hosting the 'Summer Splash' this year. DAM swimmers looking to compete regionally in a long course meet should sign up for the Moraga meet.
