Important Berryessa News!
On behalf of the DAM Board of Directors and as the 2020 Race Director, we want to emphasize that our number one priority is the health and well-being of all participants and volunteers in the Berryessa Open Water swims. With that objective in mind, and given the great uncertainty and concern surrounding the current worldwide coronavirus pandemic, it has been determined that it is in the best interests and safety of our members that we cancel the June 6 event.
Of course, it was a difficult decision but one that required a decision be made in a safe, prudent, economic and timely manner.
The good news is that all pre-registered entrants have been notified of the cancellation and their fees refunded in full. In addition, Pacific Masters reimbursed DAM for all Club Assistant processing fees so the net cost in this process to DAM was zero.
We’re also quickly investigating possibilities for moving the OW event to Saturday, September 26. We still plan to host our pool event in Woodland on Saturday, August 8. However, due to a lack of long course training options, and the fact that four of the final scy meets were canceled, we're also discussing options to run a short course meet in August instead.
As always, thank you for your support and we look forwards to a time when we're all back in the water.

Message from the Board of Directors
April Pool's Day, our annual fundraiser held in late April, will be postponed this year. The new date is still to be determined. There will be more information on this in the following weeks. Participation this year will be more important than ever in light of our current financial circumstances.
