Grand Prix 30/30 Wrap-Up

From mid-May to Mid-June, fifty-six DAM swimmers competed for in-house points as part of the spring 30/30 event inside the annual 2020 Grand Prix. The Grand Prix event, created in 2015, rewards and recognizes swimmers at the Annual Mtg and Holiday Party for points earned by participating in a myriad of club and swim events; one of which is the 30/30 event.
This spring, the competition level was ratcheted up a few levels by introducing the team challenge.
Utilizing daily point-earning options swimmers were primarily encouraged to exercise routinely but also to support and communicate with their teammates, and volunteer at local community events. The team races were incredibly close with the eventual champion, Catch the Wave, holding off strong challenges by Fishes Out of H2O  and the Covid Crushers. The championship prize is a pizza party for the winning team, with a date, place and time TBD as soon as we're allowed to start determining those types of things again.
