Weekend Lap Swim Restructuring: FAQs
- Why is DAM doing this?
- DAM's mission is to provide swim opportunities to the community
- During this unprecedented time and new rules around swimming, the demand for pool time exceeds the current supply
- DAM can now provide members this weekend opportunity to help mitigate travel to other pools, lakes, or other bodies of water
- How would I sign up and how do I pay?
- Payment is made from the account you use to make your automatic monthly payments.
- How would I get priority?
- we will assign slots by lottery so no swimmer has an advantage over another
- priority will be given to those who were not able to secure a swim reservation the weekend prior
- However, we can accomodate up to 128 swimmers. As of December 2020, we have never reached that limit. This means that everyone who signs up gets an assignment.
- How far in advance can I sign up?
- Sign ups for each weekend open on the Monday before with a link to the sign-up form on the Monday Message. Sign ups close on Thursday evenings at 9pm. Assignments go out by email Friday morning.
-
If you signed up but receive no assignment email by noon Friday, contact webmaster@damfast.org or djsperka@gmail.com. If you are a gmail user, here are some tips.
