DAM hosts an annual swim meet at the end of summer, typically held at the Charles Brooks Community Pool located on the campus of the Woodland HS. Every DAM member is invited to be both a competitor and a volunteer at the event. The time and date for the meet will be posted on both the DAM website and the DAM Facebook page. The meet is open to all USMS registered swimmers. DAM swimmers are asked to volunteer to time or help in other important areas. We have sitting jobs such as swimmer check-in and timing, and walking jobs like entries and results distribution. Sign-up sheets will be posted at Civic pool prior to the meet.
Our team policy provides free DAM FAST swim caps to all DAM swim meet entrants and to always cover the costs of relays. The coaches will have DAM caps at the meet. Please represent your team with pride by also wearing a DAM shirt.
After the meet, when it's time to clear the deck and return all the DAM equipment to Civic, we get done faster with extra hands and an extra truck/van to help clean up.
Other important reminders about the day of the meet:
***RELAYS - Only DAM swimmers who enter online by the specified deadline will be eligible to swim on DAM relays. We assume every DAM swimmer wants to be on relays, wherever possible. If you don't want to swim on relays, please email email@example.com.
***DECK-ENTRIES for the first two events are accepted until 8:15 a.m. on Saturday and all other deck-entered events must be submitted at least 30 minutes prior to the event start. DAM swimmers who deck-enter will miss out on the relay options.
