Holiday Schedule Changes

   With the holidays coming up, we have a couple of schedule changes for the coming weeks. Please see below. If you have any questions, reach out to Coach Matt.

• Monday 12/26 -  Friday 12/30, NO ARROYO WORKOUTS
• Sunday 12/25 NO LAP SWIM

All Members: No Swimming After Jan 1...

   ...if you do NOT renew your USMS Membership. This is serious! Once you renew, USMS notifies DAM, and you can keep on swimming. If you don't, you cannot participate in any DAM practices or events until your USMS Membership is up-to-date!

   If you have renewed your USMS Membership - do not worry, just keep swimming!

   If you have NOT renewed your USMS Membership - CLICK HERE TO RENEW!

• USMS Membership is not included with your DAM dues. 
• This is not a money-making scheme DAM concocted to raise funds! 
• Your USMS Membership pays for insurance coverage that DAM (and every masters club) needs

   Everyone who swims with DAM must maintain current registration with USMS. The USMS provides liability insurance for DAM and its coaches, and DAM requires that all participants in our workouts, weekend lap swims, and competitions are registered.

   The USMS offers a "Standard USMS Membership" - this is what DAM requires. The "full access membership" is not required, but it will also satisfy DAM's requirement.

Head Coach's Message 

   I will be out of town visiting family from 12/26-12/31. While I am gone our awesome assistant coaches will run our daily workouts. If you have any immediate questions or concerns please reach out to DAM President Stu Kahn (kahnswims@gmail.com). 

   I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday! I feel very fortunate to be a part of this club and to have the opportunity to coach all of you. I’m looking forward to continued success into 2023! GO DAM!

DAM Grand Prix 

   The 2023 DAM Grand Prix has begun! What is the Grand Prix? Its a friendly annual competition that all DAM members may participate in. How? Its easy - just be a DAM member (duh), and participate in DAM, PacMasters, and USMS events. Points are awarded for your participation. It doesn't matter if you come in first place or last - what matters is getting into the pool and participating! 

Earn participation points during the year.

2023 Annual Meeting & Holiday Party!

December Grand Prix events: 

• DAM Annual Meeting and Silent Auction, 1 GP point
• MEMO annual 400 Kick for Time. Grab your kickboard; no counter needed! 1 GP point. (All Pacific Masters events can be found on the PacMasters calendar page.)
• Go the Distance, USMS event, annual workout yardage tally. 1 GP point

   If you won a 2022 Grand Prix award please pick it up in the office. Click here for a list of winners. We still have lots of caps and mugs to give away!

Visiting Swimmer Reminder

   With the holidays upon us, and the opportunity for visiting friends and family to swim with DAM increases, please remember our club policy for drop-in swimmers. 

   All visitors must be current USMS members and pay a one-swim fee of $10 or $20 for a week of swimming. 

   If the lanes are crowded, DAM members always have swim priority over visitors.
